Ajibola Odukoya (BA, BSc, MSc, OCP) Chief Operating Officer, AfriLabs. AfriLabs is the largest Pan-African network organization that works with multiple stakeholders to unlock Africa’s vast potential to drive sustainable economic growth across the continent through investment, innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Ajibola is an experienced professional with over a decade of global expertise in technology business consulting and advisory. He is passionate about supporting the growth of a digital economy across Africa by investing in infrastructure for indigenous technology innovation, research, and value creation.

Ajibola’s remarkable journey in Africa includes pivotal roles like the Head of Business Management and Project Management Office for multiple National programs, such as Revenue Assurance for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Data Recapture Exercise for the Nigeria Pension Commission (PenCom) & Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp).

Additionally, he was appointed Head Of Technology and Head Of Strategic Alliances for National eGovernment Strategies in 2017, where he contributed in the blueprint for the rollout of the Nigerian National Identity Number (NIN) registration and verification nationally and globally, highlighting his significant contributions to the technology and Digital Public Infrastructure sectors in Nigeria.

Ajibola, in his capacity as the COO of AfriLabs, spearheaded a team responsible for creating the AfriLabs Connect Platform, which serves to unite the African innovation ecosystem. The platform serves as a single window into the African innovation ecosystem connecting innovators and stakeholders in over 54 countries and  225+ cities igniting a collaborative value and economic spirit that propels progress not only within Africa but also towards a sustainable global future to give Africans a platform to own the narrative in our development..

Mr. Odukoya launched the AfriLabs Connect Deal Room (ACDR) at our 2023 flagship event called the AfriLabs Annual Gathering in Kigali, Rwanda. ACDR is an AfriLabs platform-based investment initiative aimed at closing the scale-up funding gap in Africa by providing investors with optimally evaluated African start-ups, founders, founding teams, and scaleup service providers. As the initiative lead, Mr. Odukoya aims to realize an African start-up ecosystem where the problem of funding is understood and addressed for both businesses and investors.
